GhostBikes Grand Opening 

GhostBikes is opening its brand new 11,000 sq ft motorcycle and motocross store, and you’re invited to the grand event. Aside from ogling at all of the awesome kit that’s in stock, there’ll be plenty to do, a large selection of food, and incredible prizes to be won on the day, including BSB VIP weekend tickets, signed helmets, chairs, clothing and accessories.

There’ll also be an amazing stunt show from three-time world champion Steve Colley, as well as shows from the Two Brothers Racing Team, a street bike freestyle stunt team. You’ll also be able to get your bike tested on a dyno, while helmet manufacturers will be there to offer free health checks on your lids.

ABR Malvern Hills Rally 2018 

If you’re looking for a fantastic adventure bike rally to go to this spring, then you’ll want to check out the ABR Malvern Hills Rally. Hosted by the friendly Devon John, the event is a laid-back get-together in a beautiful part of the country. There’ll be on and off-road rideouts led from the campsite, and you can be sure you’ll make some new buddies and see some old faces. 

WHEN ‘N’ WHERE: The rally will take place on the weekend of the 9-11 March at Marlbank Inn, which you’ll find in Welland, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR13 6NA.

Overland and Adventure Bike Day 

An annual event where adventure motorcyclists from around the UK gather to check out each other’s rides, natter about the adventures they’ve been on or are planning, and generally have a good time. There’s a great atmosphere at the café, with good food being served throughout the day, so drop by to say hi. 

WHEN ‘N’ WHERE: The meet will take place from 9 am on Sunday 18 March, coming to a close at 5 pm. It’s held at the Ace Café, Ace Corner, North Circular Road, Stonebridge, London, NW10 7UD.

Adventure Bike Ride In at The Sammy Miller Museum 

Due to the increasing popularity of adventure motorcycles, the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum is holding an adventure bike ride in at its iconic location in the New Forest. The museum holds a fantastic collection of motorcycles from throughout history, and you could spend the whole day drooling over the metal on display. The riding around the area is also fantastic, so don’t miss out on this one. 

WHEN ‘N’ WHERE: The ride in will be hosted at the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum on Saturday 7 April. The address is: Sammy Miller Museum, Bashley Cross Roads, New Milton, Hampshire, BH25 5SZ 

HOW: Just turn up on the day! Entry to the museum complex will be completely free, and there’ll be a special adventure bike entry fee of just £5 to the museum itself.

Prescott Bike Festival 

2018 marks the first weekend-long Prescott Bike Festival, with previous years only seeing the event take place over one day. Saturday will see a festival atmosphere at the hill, where you’ll get the chance to soak in the excitement, grab some great food and drink and mooch around the exhibitor stands.

There’s also ‘The Cotswolds Quest’, a motorcycling treasure hunt to keep you entertained. All of this leads up to the crescendo on Sunday, which promises to be a day of thrills as competitors fight it out on the infamous Prescott Hill Climb.

HOW: Advanced day tickets cost £20 for the weekend, while a day ticket on Saturday will cost you £10, or £13 for the Sunday.

Adventure Bike Shop Season Opener 

As we head into spring, the warmer weather and longer days are within our sights, and so a season opener is a great way to get yourself back in the swing of motorcycling bliss. Every year, Adventure Bike Shop hosts its own season opener, and 2018 is no different.

The day promises to be great fun and gives you the chance to meet like-minded riders while discovering this season’s new riding kit. There’ll also be technical demonstrations from Alpinestars, talks from travel authors, and a number of trade stands showing off their new kit. All proceeds from the on-site catering will also be donated to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
