1. Overland and adventure bike day – 22nd March

An annual event at the ace café for adventure motorcyclists from around the UK to gather and check out each other’s rides, share their travel tales and plans for the future. Throw in an ace café breakfast and you have a fantastic day out. As always, the event will be attended by well-known adventurers and travellers, with Sam Manicom and Austin Vince dropping by in recent years. Not one to miss for an ABR.

2. The Manchester Bike Show – 28 – 29 March

We’ve had bike shows in London and Birmingham in recent months, but if you’re still itching for more riding inspiration before spring hits, why not head over to Manchester for the annual Manchester Bike Show. With many of the major manufacturers exhibiting, a live-action stage and a gear market, it’s a weekend of motorcycling you don’t want to miss. 

When ‘N’ Where: EventCity, Phoenix Way, Off Barton Dock Road, Manchester, M41 7TB, 9.30 am – 5 pm. 

How: Pick up tickets online or on the door at www.manchesterbikeshow.com. Bike parking is provided outside of the venue for those riding to the event.

3 . The Women in Motorcycling Exhibition – 25th April

Having just returned from a fantastic three days at the London Motorcycle Show and meeting you all, one thing was noticeable, more women are entering the world of adventure biking. And, it was a particular treat to watch a presentation by Elspeth Beard about her travels around the world (if you haven’t read her book yet, we’d highly recommend doing so). You can hear from Elspeth and other inspirational speakers, and take part in a host of workshops at the Women in Motorcycling Exhibition. 

When ‘N’ Where: Tutbury Castle, Castle Street, Tutbury, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, DE13 9JF, 10 am – 7 pm.

4. Adventure Bike Rider Ireland Rally – 8 – 10 May

The ABR team will be heading to County Fermanagh in May for the eighth annual ABR Ireland Rally, which will be held on the shores of Lough Erne in Northern Ireland. The weekend is organised by ABR readers and is a great opportunity to meet like-minded riders, enjoy some cracking riding and indulge in a pint or two of the black stuff.

5. The Adventure Bike Rider Festival – 10 – 12 July

If you’re already planning for riding season, there’s one event that simply must be circled on your calendar – the Adventure Bike Rider Festival. Held in the magnificent grounds of Ragley Hall in Warwickshire, and once again sponsored by Bridgestone, it is shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend of motorcycling, entertainment and fun for all involved.
