KTM is looking to take the sport touring sector by storm this month with the release of the 1290 Super Duke GT.
Performance and rider assistance over long distances are at the forefront of KTM’s new machine which will be hitting dealer showrooms later this month.
As ever, the date that the Super Duke GT will be available will vary from dealer to dealer but they will all be receiving their models as March comes to a close.
The new machine is equipped with a 173bhp, 1301cc V-Twin engine and it takes many attributes from the 1290 Super Duke R while also featuring elements to improve comfort and refinement.
KTM say “the GT masters the seemingly impossible split between passionate fun riding, comfortable long distance travelling and breathtaking track day use”, giving you some idea of the market the Austrian manufacturer is targeting.
The Super Duke GT will arrive at dealers with features such as electronic cruise control, heated grips and LED cornering lights all coming as standard and will set riders back £15,999.
A 23-litre fuel capacity, comfortable seat, height-adjustable windshield and extended rear sub-frame with integrated pannier mounts help to provide the long distance capabilities required for a bike in this category.
Those considering a purchase will also have the option of Hill Hold Control (HHC), Motor Slip Regulation (MSR) and a luggage system.
