I hope you’ve all had a good week filled with spooky celebrations. A few of us from the ABR office went on a ghost hunting experience on Tuesday, which was, umm… Hilariously not scary at all. Anyway, it’s going to be a mixed bag of weather this weekend and we can expect the temperatures to drop down into single figures, so wrap up warm if you’re planning to go for any rides or any firework displays.

We’ve had a nice bright start here this morning, though it’s been pretty darn foggy in the south. We can expect it to feel mild for most of the day today, but don’t get too comfortable because it’s going to get a lot colder as we move into the weekend, with temperatures of single figures across the UK. As we roll into this afternoon, we can expect cloud cover to set in with some light showers throughout the course of the day across the UK.

There is likely to be heavy rainfall in the early hours for most of the UK and this will continue into Saturday morning for the south of England. However, it looks like it will brighten up for Scotland and Northern Ireland with some sunny intervals expected.
As we move into the afternoon, the rain in the south will head east and by around three o’clock we can expect to see it pass completely. However, some light showers are likely to move into Northern Ireland and the west of Scotland. Saturday evening will be cloudy with some light showers across the UK.

We’ll have a pleasantly sunny start on Sunday morning, though we can expect it to be very chilly with some frost expected. There will be light cloud cover on and off throughout the day, but it’s looking set to remain sunny for most of the UK, so good news if you’re planning planning a ride out on Sunday. If you’re heading to a firework display in the evening, you’ll pleased to hear that it’s going to be a clear night but again, temperatures will remain very chilly in the single figures, so wrap up warm!
If you’re off to celebrate bonfire night, I hope you have a lovely time. As usual, if you want to know what the weather experts have to say, here is the MET Office’s weekend weather report…
