KTM 390 Adventure 2023 first look

KTM has announced the details of the new 2023 KTM 390 Adventure. KTM’s frenetic, small capacity adventure bike is a quality machine, but since its launch back in 2020 hasn’t quite secured the off-road credentials enjoyed by its larger siblings.

So, for 2023, KTM has decided to make the bike more off-road capable by adding a spoked wheel version of the 390 Adventure alongside the regular cast wheel model.

These new heavy-duty spoked wheels give the 390 Adventure better off-road capabilities, allowing the bike to take heavy hits to the wheels on the trails without worrying about cracking the rims.

In addition, the motorbike receives a fresh lick of paint inspired by KTM’s rally heritage, with bold new graphics and a healthy amount of KTM orange on the frame.

Aside from that, the 390 Adventure retains the same engine, transmission, and hardware as the previous year.

It features a compact 373cc single engine, Brembo brakes (320mm, 4-piston calipers at the front, and 230mm rear discs, single piston at the rear), 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels shod in Continental TKC70 tyres, WP Apex suspension with 170mm/177mm travel front and rear, off-road riding modes and traction control, cornering ABS, and a wet weight of 172kg.

UK pricing and availability are still to be announced. More information is available on KTM’s website here.
