The RoadSmart III has been designed with European riders and roads in mind and Dunlop believe that their significant development programme has enabled them to achieve a high performance tyre specification.

Marketing manager of Dunlop Europe Moto Andy Marfleet explained how the process went in a press release stating: “To achieve our goal, which was to have an outstanding tyre in its category for European road riders, we evaluated over 200 different tyre compound and construction options.

“Over a 31 month period, our intensive test programme focused on new materials, tread concepts and advanced compound development to get to the final tyre specification.”

The new tyres will feature a distinctive tread pattern designed by Dunlop Europe’s Advanced Design Studio and will consist of a wear resistant compound and unique iGT(Interconnecting Groove Tread) technology which is a first for the brand. The company claims that this will offer enhanced wet performance and improved durability.

Dunlop’s RoadSmart III range will be on sale in January 2016 and will include 18 sizes and specifications covering large capacity GT bikes to the latest generation mid-size twins.
