British Army Gore Tex Trousers and Smock
keithblade
If anyone wants waterproof clothing on a tight budget then look no further than your local army and navy surplus store.

Ask them for the British Army Gre Tex Trousers and Smock.

I have ridden my bikes in the past in them, I now own a proper Gore Tex HG suit and the Army stuff is used for jet washing the conservatory! But what I can tell you is that it is cheap and 100% waterproof, nothing gets through.

It does have a couple of shortcomings in that it has no pockets and if you get a size that fits too well it can be hard to pull over your bike clothing.

However for price and doing the job to a full degree it may just be the answer to some of our readers.
