One man goes to the USA, buys a Harley Ultraglide and tours around the country for several months. User reviewsAverage user rating from: 1 user(s)Disappointing so far, given the rave reviews on Am0 of 1 people found the following review helpful
I was browsing around on Amazon for something to read and came across this book. Rave reviews persuaded me to buy it. I'm only about half-way through it so far, but I must say that up to this point it has not lived up to the reviews. I've not travelled around the USA much by bike (only the one trip on the western side of the country a few years ago) but I don't get much of a sense of the place or the riding from this book. It's reasonably well written but somehow just does not come alive for me. Fingers crossed that it will improve in the second half of the book.

50 pages into the book and I'm waiting for it to inspire me, so far it reads just like someones diary. The author makes a comment about someone shipping his own bike over instead of renting, he thought the guy would of been better off just renting one, I could'nt understand why the author just did'nt ship his own bike over. He starts at Daytona bike week which get some coverage but he is more interested about the "gators" that look like logs near his tent. I hope the book brightens up and improves cheers Spud
