Bought a pair of these 3 weeks ago and wore them for the first time this weekend. Did the Sarn Helen in the rain, then finally I felt my feet wet after 4 hours. They were bloody comfy boots mind! Also today when I took them off, the stitching has already gone in the left boot inside ankle. Not good really.

Also, anyone with large calves, do not buy these boots, as they will not fit!

ok so far so good with the new boots but only got last friday.so they have been out in torrential rain and my feet were dry so great there.i have walked 7 miles with no blisters and feet comfy (dog walking)in rain mud grass(great grip)and pavement and no probs. so to start with very impressive. sizing wise i had to go up 1 size for the perfect fit.on the bike i will have to move the gear change 1 spline for ease of change.so sofar no complaints will write again in 12months for a long term review as i use my boots daily
cheers j

About time !

I've been waiting for what seems like forever for a good value and functional adventure boot.

Sure, you can buy the courier or the Adventure boots offered by Sidi but they are DOUBLE the price and I can't really see where they've spent that money. I believe it's just 'Adventure tax' for the big money adventure gang who will buy anything with an Ewan & Charlie sticker on it.

Anyway, back to the point..

These boots are great. The soul is really chunky and very grippy. No more slipping on greasy wet tarmac or wet rocks. The build quality is very good too. They appear very well put together. A real feel of quality. They are stiff around the ankle like you want but move in a way that allows you to walk. I think it's the perfect mix for adventure riding. They're comfortable too. A nice lining and designed so they don't pinch like many MX boots.

Fashion wise, they've got it right too. Not 'in your face like MX boots' but still chunky and walking boot style.

I rode them for an hour in heavy rain and they were still dry inside. Much better than all my Alpinestars Tech boots which are like sieves.

I'm absolutely delighted with mine. And for under £150, they are surely the bargain of the century.

These boots are described as a waterproof adventure boot, hence the name. So far they have really impressed me in all departments. They have a steel insert in the sole which helps when standing on the footrests, and the soles are also of the Vibram type so off the bike comfort and grip is really good also. The olive drab green suede is 3mm thick in most places with rubber wear pads fitted in the usual places. The side buckles are available separately in case you do break one and are held in by a simple philips screw, so no special tools are needed. Your shins are protected by a hard plastic piece bearing the logo W2. I don't think they offer the out and out protection of a full blown motocross boot, but for road touring in all weathers and weekend trail riding I think they are just about perfect with great comfort on and off the bike, and at a great price too.

Update, after 11 months mine leaked on a torrential off road ride, they both just gave up the ghost. I returned them to my dealer and he sent them bak and replacements were sent out a week or so later. I used Nikwax for Nubuck and suede waterproofer on them before I wore them as an extra precaution and so far so good.

The reviews by GB top rate. I bought the Rev'itt Sand jacket he reviewed, well pleased and have now been lucky to buy W2 boots good as new on the forum, not Lidls, with a huge saving as my very old SIDI courier car bashers finally expired. Thanks to all reviewers as we know you are writing as you find the products unlike the magazines that say what the advertisers want
