If you’ve ever thought about enhancing your bike’s security with a tracker, you’ll know there are plenty of options out there, and each system comes with its advantages and disadvantages.

The Monimoto 9 aims to make the choice simple with its user-friendly and versatile design, and that’s why it could just be the most convenient motorcycle tracker currently on the market.

If you want a simple way to add security and track your bike, read on to find out more about the Monimoto 9’s features and how it works.

Simple to install and quick to operate

Monimoto 9

Unlike some trackers that must be installed by technicians and wired into the bike’s wiring loom, the Monimoto 9 is a completely self-contained unit that you can install yourself in about five minutes.

Thanks to its rechargeable battery (with a battery life of up to 12 months), all you need to do is charge it up, find somewhere inconspicuous on your bike to fit it with the supplied zip ties, pair it with your phone via Bluetooth, and you’re done.

The way it works is simple. The Monimoto 9 is made up of two units: the tracker, which fits to your motorcycle, and a fob, which you can keep with your keys.

When the tracker detects the fob in close range, it disarms itself. However, once you walk away, the tracker is armed and if it detects any movement of your bike, it will go into alarm mode.

Thanks to its GPS and pre-installed eSim, it will first call your phone to alert you. Then you’ll be able to track the location of your motorcycle on the app, with highly accurate pinpoints every five minutes as long as the bike’s moving.

Built to last but cheap to run

Monimoto 9

The Monimoto 9 is IP68 rated, which means its protected against dust, immersion, and high-pressure jets of water. Plus, Monimoto says the battery in the tracker can last up to 12 months from a single charge, although if the alarm is activated, the GPS will use more battery.

You don’t even have to keep it just for your bike. Because it’s so easy easy to install and remove, you can easily swap it out to your car, caravan, and even your bicycle if you’ve got somewhere to hide it.

At £149, it’s one of the more affordable options on the market, and even the £36/year subscription which covers the eSim costs is a great deal.
