ABR Festival 2020 Rescheduled Statement

The Adventure Bike Rider Festival 2020 and COVID-19 – A statement

I’m sure you’ve suspected as much, but I am writing this to officially inform you that the 2020 Adventure Bike Rider Festival has been rescheduled to the weekend of 25-27 June 2021 due to the ongoing uncertainty and problems posed by the global Covid-19 pandemic.

I can tell you now that all the ABR staff, who have worked so hard in pulling together what was going to be the best adventure bike festival in Europe, are so disappointed to have to take this measure.

We’re sorry that your (and our) big weekend of adventure and motorcycles has been rescheduled and, after the success of 2019, we’re seriously going to miss your company at the magnificent Ragley Hall this summer.

We’d arranged for every motorcycle manufacturer to attend with a huge selection of test ride bikes; we’d negotiated with the venue to expand the on-site adventure trail from 5 miles in 2019 to a massive 20 mile trail in 2020. There were more celebrity speakers lined up, more live music acts and bands, extra trade stands, more activities and, as in 2019, the 2020 ABR Festival was on course to be a sell-out.

While we were holding out hope that we’d be able to go ahead as planned, deciding to postpone the 2020 Festival has not been an easy decision. That said, we now set our sights on better times ahead and I’m now excited to let you know that we have already begun work to make the 2021 Festival even bigger and better. And the good news is that your 2020 ticket will remain valid for the 2021 ABR Festival.

We know from the huge number of messages we’ve received from the ABR community that being able to roll over 2020 tickets to 2021 was the No. 1 request. So we’ve done that, and that’s good news for you because the 2021 Festival will undoubtedly be a sell-out, plus ticket prices for 2021 will be more expensive so there’s a decent cost saving for you too.

Better still, you don’t need to do anything to roll over your ticket for 2021; your 2020 ticket will be valid at the gate. If you can’t find your 2020 ticket and need a replacement, please email [email protected].

We’re sure hoping to see you in 2021, but if you can’t make the 2021 festival dates you can claim a refund on your ticket up until midnight Thursday 9th July 2020.
Please email [email protected] for more details on how to claim your refund (please allow us 5 working days to respond to you).

Once again, we’re going to miss you this summer, but with this clarity we’re now looking forward to 2021 so much.

Stay safe, be happy and see you in 2021.

Best Regards,

Alun Davies, Adventure Bike Rider founder
