Yep the DRZ is a better buySteveW wrote:It's a funny one.
The DRZ400s for sale on here is in my opinion a better bike, it's also being offered for sale for way less money.
I had an XR400 habit I'd consider purchasing it, especially as it's nicer than johnnyboxer's example.
GLWS
At least my XR400 gets ridden off-road and gets dirty - as opposed to Motorbike's

Re: honda xr400 for sale ...stunning condition
That bike looks bloody lovely. XR400s age so well - they seem to look better with every passing year. One of the best looking thumpers ever. Whoever buys this one will be a lucky bunny I reckon.
Personally I think if you don't have anything nice to say about a bike for sale then STFU. It's not really about 'freedom of speech'. It's not the Gettysburg Address or Thomas Paine's Rights of Man for god's sake. It's about being nice to people and a bit respectful of someone trying to sell their bike. Simples...
So to 'Motorbike' I say "Best of luck with the sale".

At least my XR400 gets ridden off-road and gets dirty - as opposed to Motorbike's--and have to have the last word--sad really--let the guy try and sell a prime example--I second the comment "if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing" GLWS.
He'll only get £3500 on ebay though

Re: honda xr400 for sale ...stunning condition
I think this bike would probably go to a collector.
A few spirited trail rides and you'd knock £1500 off the price!
May be it'd be appreciated more on some classic bike forum?
Well done for keeping it In such great condition, old Honda's were often just that bit better than the rest and the XR400 has a strong following.
I said earlier in this thread that for me I'd prefer the DRZ400 as a day to day trail bike, mostly because I'd be shit scared of scratching this bike, I've got an XR250r and it's bullet proof and good fun.

Very nice Xr and hard to find in that condition. GLWTS somone will buy it and hopefully keep it for years in the same conditon even if its ridden and not stored. It only takes ones person and its a sale! Did the same when I had a ATwin in mint condition - priced it as such and it sold to someone who appreciated it
