for sale...as you can see its in immaculate condition..never used off road ..2002 runs nicely..5000 miles all MOT's...this has got to be one of the last few xr400 in this condition in the country..offers over £3500 considered..comes with new road friendly tyres and origional factory tyres ...resides in Glasgow

It's a funny one.
The DRZ400s for sale on here is in my opinion a better bike, it's also being offered for sale for way less money.
But Mr motorbike is a serial polisher and if I wanted an investment rather than something to actually ride and I had an XR400 habit I'd consider purchasing it, especially as it's nicer than johnnyboxer's example.

thanks.. spot on i have motorcycle cleaning OCD

....all my bikes are the same .i once had an xr 600 which wasn't tatty but had been used ...and i loved it ..as i didn't need to worry about scratching or scuffing it..
