Post by IntruderWithin »

Morning, as the weather is sooooo bbbaaaddddd today i would like to install my volt meter. looking around the bike the one place which could work is by connecting it to the spot light switch. There are three wire : purple, white and black. Which would be the positive white or purple?

Why fit a volt meter? Surly to see if your charging or discharging you fit an amp meter.

A volt meter will give a relative indication of what's happening, eg most systems seem to run at about 14.2 volts, start adding in heated jackets / grips etc etc and the voltage seen on the gauge will drop. From experience if you see x.xx volts you know that the battery isn't being charged.
