Looking for advice from glasses wearers...

Hi Folks...

I was wondering if someone may be able to help

I have to wear glasses when riding, no biggy... however... the last few days I have really struggled to keep my glasses from misting up! Obviously this doesnt really help in any shape or form.

I have tried some anti fog spray but to no avail... (this could be due to me applying incorrectly though, and welcome any advice.)

I was hoping someone may be able to recommend a product/solution/technique that could help? I open to anything and have even considered looking to see if there are more sutiable glass frame options... maybe like Oakleys?

Really appreciate any bodies thoughts...

Cant do contacts though... not keen on the idea of them at all!

Difficult one really, I wear geggs for riding and I've ridden in some atrocious conditions. I've just had to pull over and clean/de-mist/de-ice said geggs and carry on for a few miles before doing it again. Luckily I was on my commute home which is only around 6 miles.

For off roading and rallying I wear contacts, much easier. Only other option would be the laser treatment, but it's a pricey option.

In the old days I'd use a little Shampoo/Fairy Liquid; put a little on both sides of the lens and rub in until clear, the next time its misty etc the lens's should be clear. This is the cheaper option, as there are a few on-the-shelf products out there too.

I saw a product at the bike show in 2010 there was a guy who had a product that did the trick meant to go back and buy some and forgot:( never managed to find out what it was called! Not much help I know! Someone may remember? he was on the corner by the indoor motorcross and near the Harley stand.

keep the visor cracked open just a little , don't wear a buff right up to the bottom of your specs and try using potato juice, cut a spud open wipe your cloth over it and polish into the lense or visor !!! ohhh and stop breathing !! :sick:

This is why I switched to contacts 26 years ago!

BMW do an anti mist spray that works really well but you do have do apply it before every ride, well it works on visors and goggles so no reason to think it wouldn't work on glasses.

I was discussing this same subject recently with my optician, in the blink of an eye (sic}he has sold me some goggles with prescription lenses, I have not used them so
cannot recommend them yet, but I really hope they solve the problem for me, of course when I take my helmet/goggles off I wont be able to see much, but hey ho.
