Different specific subject but similar.
I bought the UK OS Maps for about £250(?) when Viewranger were going. They went in with Outdoor Active and I lost access.
One phone call and everything was set up ok. I had paid for the maps so had the right to access them. They were very good about it and no argument.

I guess Garmin will be inundated but a phone call seems the way forward.
Unless there are some dodgy T&Cs, surely lifetime means lifetime.
2022 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro sadly gone due to ill health.
Now on a 2025 Triumph Scrambler 400X but may be fitter next year.

David...
Garmin has said lifetime is the "lifetime of the product in production now..Also all accounts not accessed in 2 years will be deleted...Ive sent a email  saying I have lifetime mapping and that I updated the maps in jan 2025 as all the new roads and housing estates create havoc with us truck drivers....

Ive a unlocked os map from years ago still good for trails lol, I always used the council definative map for the bike ...Garmin are on their ass anyway now as most cars use android auto etc lol...

just had a mare trying to update a zumo--it wiped the CN europe map and replaced it with a CN southern only--couldn't fix it (by downloading from both Express and the main Garmin site) , and even despite adding another formatted sd card for space. Ended up BUYING CN north and south on a micro sd card---it wouldn't even respond to navigating to a postcode with only CN southern on it--froze up. Installing the pre-programmed sd card fixed it--so much for lifetime maps
