Hi ,
Any info on taking my bike to Iceland please.
Would rather ride than fly.
Anyone know of a good tour company
Running trips for 2018.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks Tony.

Re: Iceland
You'll have to get to Denmark. Ferry is operated by Smyril Line. I have been there but took my Land Rover.
You won't regret going, but you'll need a decent budget and practice water crossings

Aye couple chaps from the UKGSer freight them out, or you could contact Samskip themselves personally down at Immingham docks, as it's them that freight to Iceland.
Re: Iceland
I took my bike in 2014, I shipped it in and I flew in with my missus. I looked at riding to Denmark to the ferry, but you have to take a night stop over in the Faroe Islands on the way there or on the return leg (can't remember off the top of my head). Timewise we would have only had a week on the island as the rest would be taken up on travelling, with us doing it the way we did we had two weeks to explore Iceland.
We have since been back for a week with our two youngest (grown up) kids and we hired a car and did a quick tour of the island. It is a stunning place and we are thinking of going back again to see some places we didn't get to see.
Here's a link to a ride report I did and if you need any info give me a shout.
