looking for a new 1200 super tenere

Post by YOSHIWOLVES »

hi all
I have just sold one of my bikes and am now in a position to go and get the bike I had decided on, a Yamaha 1200 super tenere , non electronic suspension, so the Z not the ZE,and pref in blue with the black speed block design, I had seen plenty advertised for £9995 but now I want one can I find one ?? no :( , all the ones that are still being advertised don't seem to actually exist, the best I can come up with is a silver one with the blue anodized wheels and forks for £10500,, so does anyone know of one that is actually in the showroom in blue for £9995 ?? doesn't matter where in the country I will travel,
cheers (thumbs)
ps, it has to be the 2014 model on, not the earlier model

Take it you've exhausted the ones on ebay in your search? In particular one at J&S Doncaster?

There's one in our Worcester Yamaha dealer. Blue forks etc. But I think it's more like £11k.

He admitted himself they don't seem to be shifting, maybe chance of a low ball offer being accepted.

Must admit, at just under £10k they're a lot of bike for the money.

Bought mine in October 2014 and the new white with blue forks was coming out, didn`t like that and wanted blue with speed block, luckily there were a few left but were going fast as that is the fastest colour (thumbs) although some may disagree

Keep an eye out for deals at Fowlers of Bristol..they were knocking the Z out at £9500 a few months back..they haven't any in stock at the mo but sure they will have more during the year.
I am upgrading my 2013 z sometime this year to the ze so on the lookout myself.

My advice is if you know a dealer with one, walk in as a cash buyer and you'll get it for the 9995 price.

hi nigel, that's the colour I want (thumbs)

mike, that's the plan,, just cant find one in a dealers in that colour,, I thought I had but it turns out they are 2013 models,

I am being told by most dealers that there are now only two colours available, the matt grey, and the silver with blue wheels and forks,, apparently no more proper blue ones :(

redsoul, I will keep an eye out at fowlers (thumbs)

The bikes been sat for 2.5 years ?

Cannot be any good for it ?
I agree that it can't be that good for it but it will still be more reliable than a bmw :woohoo:  (thumbs)
