Post by dragonwheels »

ADV Pulse has scooped the market (erm including the UK Importers agent - ie ME !) but nonetheless there's a great intro article here and long awaited pics of course!

The specs look good so now it's down to cost and hitting that September 2016 date. Good luck (thumbs)

Wow that looks really nice & just about ticks every box.
Saw the prototype @ 2014 Taffy Dakar which looked great in the flesh.
Let's hope they can price it into the market.

If it comes in at a reasonable price then I bet a lot of people (including me) will buy one. Also I'm glad to see mention of luggage. Does it have a decent subframe?
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Suzuki DR200 Djebel.

Full subframe, Metal mule and Touratech have looked at it and pronounced it possible to create a fitting kit...

this does look good. Couple of questions How much oil do these hold? Did the other bikes using this engine have oil in the frame?
Tramps query about luggage carrying looks valid especially for us Welsh home metal shapers and welders I presume that big plastic slab on each side is the tank looks difficult to even hook a strap on let alone attach some light racks, hope the Spanish understand this and dont make it only a Sunday racer, difficult compromise we understand that. A pic of the frame or bike without rear trim would be good.

I'd love one of them for riding out here in Australia. Currently deciding between a cheap used DR650 or going all out on a new Africa Twin in a few months after being bikeless for a year. The AJP ticks all the boxes for what I want.

Don't know if it will look better in the flesh but that front end looks frickin ugly in my opinion, looks like it's been taken off another bike and made to fit.
Not for me I'm afraid.
