He was one of the greats and thankfully lived to tell the story "Geoff Duke - In pursuit of Perfection" is a decent DVD and a now a fitting tribute. RIP

I thought that the thing that said the most about Geoff Duke as a man and the 'establishment' as a bunch of bastards was him having his licence suspended for 6 months after he complained about the start money given to privateer racers. Without people like him standing up for the privateers and thus ensuring that racing continued we wouldn't be able to watch Moto GP as it is now.

On the other hand he could have been a victim of predictive text. He wouldn't have meant it to read that way.
