DR 350 fettling

Post by Redmurty »

So a weekend on the dirt has converted me so a little fettling of my DR 350 is about to commence.

First thing bought was a new helmet for under Β£50 from M & P

Suspension coming off this week hopefully to go and be serviced and the seat being taken to the local marina for a new cover and some foam as the previous owner cut it mostly off. They were either 4 foot tall or this bike was ridden by a youngster.

Brakes to be cleaned and all fluids to be changed (hopefully) then if I have some knuckles left a few decent rides (thumbs)

cheers Spud ;)

Lovely looking tank that.

Can you post a link to the helmet please I couldn't find it on there.

Spud, I've got a few 'final' fettles to do to mine:

1.Putting a bigger screen on (got and old F650GS one, just need to make a bracket to fit!)
2.New master cylinder with built in switch, banjo switch kept being broken by the hand guards!
3.fitting a chiain guide, especially after the chain came off in avery very cold ford, that was well over the depth of my boots! :woohoo:
4. Lowering the pegs to give me a little more room!
5. adapting the panniers and rack to allow me to slide them on/off as I need!

Should be ready by the end of next week! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
