its a mystery, so it is

plane goes off radar without any distress call, and cant be found

in the news today, it says that the plane engines sent back tec information to its base showing that the plane flew on for a another 4 hours

only thing I can think of that might of happened, is maybe a fault in the aircrafts pressurisation system, this would cause hypoxia and unconscious, it happen before in aircraft accidents, where the crew and everyone on the plane fell unconscious and the plane flew on for hours before running out off fuel and crashing,

The oceans a big place and it bloody hard to find anything in it. They will eventually find the wreckage when they stumble upon it during the standard grid based search gets to it. Its likely to have been a mid-air explosion due to one thing or another (im betting on structural failure rather than terrorism, although given stolen passports have been used then.....). Anything approaching North Korea would have been picked up on AWACS from the South Koreans so I don't think its been hijacked to there. The Chinese are too busy making trillions of $$ to risk something so stupid. Its suffered a catastrophic mid-air structural failing in my opinion.

I might be wrong but I think low cabin pressure triggers automatic release of the emergency air system (masks deploy to all cabins) and automatically kicks off repeater maydays.

Yes you are right. The big thing here is that where it went missing is in radio range of the land so any alerts or technical issues with the plane would have been sent out straight away.

It's all a bit strange...just like why KTM make a big bike with no fuel guage or why BMW can't design an offroad bike bike that can take panniers of the same size both sides....some things we wil never understand.
