Back on 2 wheels soon, At long last!

Post by Jelly »

As some of you may know I had to sell my Vara almost a year ago and I decided to go without a bike in 2013 so I could get a new bike in 2014. A new bike that I'll keep for a long long time.

Well the time has come, at last. :woohoo:
I went to a couple dealers yesterday to thrash out a deal on the Honda NC750X DCT in black.
I came home to sleep on it and decide where to spend my hard earned, the decision has been made and I'll be back down the dealers (Kent Motorcycles) on Monday to pay a deposit and place my order.

As it's the first (and probably last) brand new bike I've bought I'm gonna be a Reg snob and wait till march to get a 14 plate. The roads will be shite till then anyway.

I am so excited. :silly:

I'm going for a few extras too, heated grips, fenda extenda, rad guard and a hugger, all fitted before it even turns a wheel. (thumbs)

Good news Jelly. Sure there will be lots of salt on the roads over the next 3 months and that is a bike worth waiting for :)

I wouldn't be able to wait, it'd be ordered now and I'd just try to keep the worst of the salt and not use it for commuting.

You bastard! Feck the waiting I'll have a 63 plate, it's still gonna be brand new, and it's that fact that makes me happiest, especially as it's gonna be a keeper.
It's only a toy so I can pick and choose when to ride it and keep away from the shite weather.

To answer some questions:

It's a parallel twin, half a Honda Jazz engine apparently.

And yes I will be attending the South Coast ABR Rally. (thumbs)
