Hello

Post by codcutter »

Found out about this site while reading some posts on the Iron Butt UK forum.
Signed up for membership straight away, and got the magazine within 3 days (impressive)
Usual biking history, bikes when i was a teenager if i still had some of them i would be a fairly rich man:) ), car etc when got serious about women, back to bikes when the kids grew up.

Currently own
Harley Roadking Classic
BMW R1200RT
Kawasaki ZZR1100

Owned the Kwak for about 8 years, decided on the Harley when the arthritis got too painful on the wrists with the Kwak.
20,000 miles on the Harley in 2009 (mainly Iron Butt rides)and then decided on the beemer for when the wife comes with me (i was going to say for peace and quiet, but as we have intercoms that ain't possible:laugh: )

Trips on the beemer to date
Romania last year (Iron Butt ride to eat) extended it to approx 4000 miles in 8 days
Lithuania (Oct 2010) another IBA RTE approx 3000 miles in 4 days

Am now looking for another direction (dreaming of a RTW)as munching miles on motorways has lost some of its appeal.

There is plenty of inspiration on here

BTW hello james691
