The motorbike show ITV4 tonight 7pm

the first one ive seen was tonights, is that ep1 then and ive actually caught the beginning of a series? usually i learn about things worth watching about ep9 of 10 :laugh:

it wasnt my bike so this is just my opinion and beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but did anyone else think that streetfighter was ghastly?

fantastic paint workmanship (if not the actual paint!) i dont mind a bit of bling but that was just.... :sick:

l think it was the second episode, so you haven 't missed too much. As for the streetfighter, eugh, I've not seen much fuglier!

Should of used the purple helmets not the white.
Streetfighter, if he had done it, ok, but he got other dudes in to do it. Paint job was crap.
Good to have this on tv, anything that promotes bikes.

Yeah I thought nice work but didn't like the finished paintwork / bike tbh, I probably shouldn't admit this but I actually thought the old paintwork with the flames etc looked better.

How about BBC 2 do a biker programme every Sunday night, covering touring, on road, off road, commuting, adventure biking, road racing, track days, testing all bikes.
Wonder how many bikers there are past and present in uk even if they're not riding today?
Top gear shows say a Lamborghini? Or a range rover off road test, realityvis how many people actually go out, firstly buy one, secondly use it as described on the tin?
Yet look at where all our bikes have been travelling to?
Far more interesting IMO.
How's about charley boorman, Henry and one other following a similar top gear genre
Might see a rise in motorcycle industry, awareness, etc etc.

henry cole is about the only regular guy i see promoting bikes on tv at the moment.

a "top gear" for bikes would be cool, but it would never get the funding to do it properly. most of the shows ive ever seen have been really amateur and some downright naff. anyone can put a camera in the gutter round a bend, please think up something new. and steve berry need not apply.

Watched it last night for the first time found it by accident. Any show that talks about bikes gets my vote!

As for the bike it was crap!
A streetfighter should look fast and mean, like it will rip off the white lines from the road as it screams past. That bike looked like it should belong in a fashion shop window with all the bling, sparkle paint, copper powder coating and chrome. The petrol tank looks like it came off Evil Kanevil bike why stars from the USA it was supposed to show off the best of British. No suprise it did not win a custom bike design prize how it got a paint prize was a puzzle the others must have been really bad.

One thing is for shure he will never ride it every day it would take the whole weekend to clean it. They never even showed anyone riding the bling mobil ?

On a positive side was the bit in the show about the disabled riders club for riders that had lost the use of their legs and limbs below the waist, got to admire and salute the club.

So what will be in next weeks show - how to bling up your riding gear!!!

Watched yesterday for the first time.

Mainstream bike show, not really for me - more for "posing wanna look tough biker" office rats.

Although, overall with good paste and good variety of topics. But how many good episodes can you make? Five-ten episodes and then start re shooting same stuff, as bike magazines?

Also, I don't agree with folks, who want to make motorcycling more mainstream. There are enough idiots on the roads already.
