That's the long and short of it.

I've never sang the national anthem either, even as a kid I thought it was daft, that and having to sing carols and hymns in school assemblies.

I don't remember singing the National Anthem since I was at school when they taught us it and I certainly don't intend to sing it again. My view is that it's a Royal Anthem and because I'd sooner we didn't have a monarch there's not much point in me singing a song about them.

I'm not going to go off on one about the family because we're not going to get rid of them so there's no point in getting wound up about it and though it's easy to say because I'd never get one I'd decline the offer of any kind of award given out by them.

It'll probably sound childish to some but I refuse to watch the Queens speech because it just doesn't seem relevant in this day and age. Admittedly I wouldn't watch a similar speech by any head of state if we had an alternative so maybe it's just that given the number of channels we get on tv there has to be something better :whistle:

I didn't vote for him, he didn't get any of my preference scores, but he went up in my estimation by not singing the national anthem yesterday, unfortunately he's gone down again today by saying he will sing it in future... He doesn't believe in God or the Queen, so why should he sing a silly song about them?

PMQ was a disappointment as well. Great idea to ask questions posted by ordinary people, but the first question needs to be backed up with a second or third question that skewers the PM and highlights a problem of govt policy. If all Corbyn does is ask 6 random questions each week, Cameron will just fend them off each week.
