apologies i kind of read it that you thought that was a movie , i get where your coming from inspiration comes in all forms

The stills / movie is actually a tribute to Izi, Kryzs's mate who was killed shortly after their Afghan trip (from where the pictures came from) it's not a trip record as such, more a collection of shots of Izi.

Yes i only later found this out when i was researching for my trip and read it on the ADV site................

I read the book and gave up towards the end, it felt like they git the hard bit out the way (massive respect for that as it was epic) but then they lost interest a bit...

I think I packed in reading when there was only one guy carrying the can, or did I get it wrong ?

first 2 thirds of the book were bloody epic...

I find a lot of bike travel books do that. One minute they're several k's from the end & the next minute they're going home.
When travelling, I keep a diary but towards the end of the trip, my notes become very sketchy, sometimes non-existent. Perhaps this explains why most travellers tales end abruptly :unsure:
