I've just watched this video for the first time & I have to say that it took blood, guts, determination & sacrifice to undertake such an epic journey.
42,000 miles round the world on a shoestring is some feat & not to be regarded with triviallity.
Well done to all who took part & well worth a watch.
Most people will have seen it but nevertheless here it is.

Mondo Enduro....

Bought my copy off of Austin a few years back. From him at a stand at the MCN show, at the London excell. (didn't have a clue at the time who he was or what the DVD was about)

I saw this when it was forst aired on Discovery channel in the 90s and bought the DVD, then got the next ones which we're OK but did not have the WOW impact that the first one had

Saw E & C covering some of the same places in TLWR but Austin and the boys was far better

Still watch it now and then

Fantastic Film and a fantastic bloke in my opinion. Seems be getting a bit of stick lately though which is a shame. Another film worth checking out is Moto-Siberia.

Just watched Mondo Enduro. Nicely done with good bits of Brit humour thrown in for good measure. Really enjoyed it.

I personally much preferred the book as it's a bit like a diary format and told more of the story. I found the DVD a bit staged after reading the book

Yes its a great film and Austin is doing alot for ADV riding promoting it to show the world we dont need the "long way round" budget or back up.

Also on my solo travels i meet many people who in groups had fall outs and bust ups so to find a good group of friends is amazing.

However for me it was this short clip that made the biggest impression on me (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan & Afghanistan) and I watched this short video many times as the pictures are amazing and this was a big deciding factor & influence for me to do such a trip. in away it changed my life alittle (thumbs)

I to remember seeing one of the Monduro TV programs, so went out & got the 2nd one & yesterday got Monduro Sahara via Ebay (my xmas treat to me), so will bbe watching that Wendsday my day off.

Will be intresting to see as acording to ABR mag 19 some quite snazzy filming on Super 8, Austin prob had got some going cheap!
