take the King Harry Ferry towards the top of Falmouth Sound - take the Military road on the left north on the north estuary, there is a nice pub cafe / with lots of DDay stuff and info about large ship storage up there.

Used to live near Bude nice place lots of good roads A39 bude area loads of campsites pubs beaches but be aware if the suns out it gets busy and there will be loads of shed draggers about.

Stayed at this place near Perranporth last November blue Hills and was made most welcome, run by a couple who've ridden round the world amongst other biking adventures.

Portreath - The fish and chips with posh crushed peas at the cafe near the main beach car park - good road too. Also the B3306 St. Ives to Seenan/Land's End.

Stayed there with my wife and children a couple of years back for Whit week.

Peaceful and a handy base for getting around SW Cornwall. Peter the owner was a sound bloke, and the prices were OK. Give him a call to see what it's like now. B)
