Thank you. I never considered the NC750 - until now !!!!!

last week i went on a trf road ride to pembrokeshire .. 250 miles.
I struggled on the tight wet gravelly bendy lanes, with poor suspension, and road tyres.
more open but still tight back roads, i kept up well, those behind struggling to keep up with me, because of my instant low down torque, but me struggling to keep up with the big adventure bikes, because of their sheer power and class suspension.
Open roads .. only the speed limit kept me back .. smooth easy comfort. a pleasure.
last mile, after the finish, on way home, .. i had the pleasure of overtaking the big bikes on a smooth 50 bend I knew well lol.
o ... well over 80mpg

speed records on the flat long sands, museum of that crashed world record attempt car (remind me who? chap had his head off)
racecourse nearby .. whats its name?

the nc750 did well against the big dogs.
not in a brash power-crazy way, but in a gentle consistent economical torquey comfortable way.
Over short distances the big woofers will always win, but give it time and persistence, the nc750 will prevail, catching up in traffic and even overtaking, and probably extending the lead with perseverance, as its comfort and real world rideability will make for almost non-stop endurance.
.. so is it a road enduro bike??

...looks very nice. I'm taking a few days off work soon so might take a ride out that way. Google says 195 miles, each way .

Growing up in west London hearing the A40 is a great ride is still alien to me I forget how long that road is!

Yep.. its a bit different near London lol .. but runs fro there all the way to Fishguard.

I'm 35 miles west of London... . So it's the A40 for me as well .

I've done the A40 to Brecon many, many times on the bike...but only a handful of times beyond there...but loads of times in the car to the Ferry at Pembroke..

My fave destination was always Aberaeron, then changed to Aberystwyth. Anticlockwise from pontypridd through mid Wales, and sometimes continuing to cardigan or back throu Tregaron or llampeter,
clockwise from pontypridd along the A40 to its end, then Aberaeron and or Aberystwyth was a revelation.

It's a long way in a day though .
