We're gonna make serious money from this, Steve, when we sell the film rights to 'The Long Mow Round'
I’m already looking forward to ‘The Long Mow Down’.

daveuprite wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2020 11:05 am OK, you got me Steve. Mowing all done. Only managed a level 4 for the first cut, and I got some cool wheelspin going on here and there.

I'm awaiting someone saying "What has this got to do with ABR?"

Well here goes. Steve and I are embarking on a RTW ride-on mower journey. Aren't we Steve? I said, AREN'T WE STEVE?

We will mow a neat line around the globe. I've already prepared throw over panniers for my MTD Briggs and Stratton adventure mower, and I'm sure Steve will go for alumnium 'lawnatech' boxes on his Kubotasaki.

Road of Bones? We'll piss it....
Surely you would need 'mow over panniers'?

You've heard of ground effect, well weve modified her and we've got grass effect. Still in its infantsy, so very hush hush. ;)

Charlie and Ewan and Claudio .. eat your hearts out

now its gonna be Chunky and DavidS and DaveUpright

Chunky riding the petrol powered GS adventure cuboto mow tech mower
DavidS riding the flymo-by-wire electric HD (heavy duty) edge trimmer
DaveUpright rushing ahead to film it all on hybrid diesel emergency power generator

the neat line will follow the equator .. through jungles, mountains, lakes and seas etc
while the sequel will do a 90 degree at some undisclosed point
making a hot cross bun shape on the planet
to save it just in time for Easter
when they will all rise again to do it all over.

of course .. to keep it all authentic, there will be an unseen back up crew of Labrador labourers
providing squidgy land lubrication and tut tuts and shaking heads
and the glamour lady partners providing the much needed morning croissants and lightweight French parasols for the desert section
though no intimacy is allowed, as the three guys have got to share a tent and fart each other sick

That's no good to us in the Stans and Mongolia, Steve. We need ground clearance. We need to get the decks up high, so we can brush-cut our way across the Russian Steppe.

Or perhaps you were thinking of using collectors. That's going to be a lot of grass, you do realise?

It was going quite well until the end bits...I’m out....although I do have a Stihl battery leaf blower to clear the air.
2022 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro sadly gone due to ill health.
Now on a 2025 Triumph Scrambler 400X but may be fitter next year.
