Fat Matt runs a 1200, with Karoo 3's on - he's pretty pleased with them - maybe he'll pop up and explain more...
He commutes the length and breath of the UK on his, and then drops a few PSI and cheerfully chucks his around the lanes and tracks no bother, not sure he'd run anything else.
As has bene said though, much of it depends on what you're riding on and how often...
