It must be a server thing! It is just as slow on my laptop as on the PC upstairs.
It even runs slow on my Android phone. I just assumed it was the same for everyone as this is the only site that runs slow on my system. And when I say slow, I mean just logging in can take 30s.

Hi smudge
Usually the answer is no there isn't anything you can do yourself.

Most network computers monitor themselves to make sure that their memory and hard drives are optimal speed. If they spot that they are slow then they are usually rebooted to resolve and generally this works.

Did you try the link to my site ? Was that slow for you too?

Sometimes flash content can be slow to load and effect page loadings. This page has flash on it. You could try turning this off.
What Internet browser are you using?

Was about to ask the same question, then I thought I'd better check and see if anyone else has "speed" issues when accessing this site.

Only ever pop in from my home PC, so cannot compare speeds from other locations. From here it does seem to take a bit longer to load than other sites I peruse. Saying that, it is slightly quicker this morning than when I look in during the evening.

Have absolutely no idea why it happens, just saying it's kinda slow for me too, all the way up here in the north east of Ecosse.

Thanks ACKACK,
Turning the flash off didn't make much difference so I have put it back on.
Handy little site though .. the Geek thing ...
Have to live with the problem I suppose. :(
One other thing I have noticed, I have to manually log in to the site every time I visit, in spite of me ticking the remember me button .. any relevance ? :(

Your machine isn't saving cookies me thinks.

Does the same happen with forgetful logging in on other sites?

When you view this site do you get any errors show as yellow triangles in the bottom left hand side of the browser window?

Do you have safari on your machine for comparison? http://www.apple.com/safari/download/
