I like this idea
1) Tears don't fall - Bullet for my Valentine
2) Whole lotta rosie - ACDC
3) Freak on a leash - Korn
4) Savior - Rise Against
5) Duality - Slipknot

That’s from the first album “Iron Maiden” (1980) and up to “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son” (1988) and including “Live at Donington (1993), anything after 1988 ain’t worth tosh…prooney377 wrote:Put all the Iron Maiden alums on you iPod and press shuffle

Agreed, they were a Golden time, definitely the best; the less said about the 90's the better though and as for the two BB albums, less said the better (except Sign of the Cross, great song but not really a Maiden song). However the latter albums with Bruce and the three amigos are cool after a few listens.2 wheeled tourist wrote:That’s from the first album “Iron Maiden” (1980) and up to “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son” (1988) and including “Live at Donington (1993), anything after 1993 ain’t worth tosh…prooney377 wrote:Put all the Iron Maiden alums on you iPod and press shuffle

First saw Maiden in 1986 at Sheffield City Hall on their Somewhere in Time tour, the second night there they were filmed, as far as I can remember. Great show, great band but for some reason they always sound better when Bruce ain’t singing

Re: Music dilemma
Seem to recall Stranger in a Strange Land (my all time fave and one of Adrian Smiths finest moments) from that tour being on the start of the 12 wasted years film, first video of theirs I ever bought. Been hooked ever since although they never seem to do any tweets/web site releases etc. nowadays unless they or one of their family (Lauren Harris) are selling something which pisses me off a bit seeing as when I was a kid I was inspired by the fact they never sold out. Still, the music is what I like.....
Why? Why not?
Re: Music dilemma
How strange this should come up now; it was either yesterday (Tuesday)at the time of writing or could have been Monday, but anyhow there was a report on the radio about an explorer who had recently been away on an adventure, and nearly drove himself mad because the only tune in his head was the Womble song!
It transpired that his I player, Walkman thingy had packed up.
BTW If all else fails you can always humm the theme to the Archers

"The trails of the world be countless, and most of the trails be tried.
You tread on the heels of many, till you come where the ways divide.
And one lies safe in the sunlight, and the other is dreary and wan, Yet you look aslant at the Lone Trail, and the Lone Trail lures you on....
....Bid good-bye to sweetheart, bid goodbye to friend, The Lone Trail, the Lone Trail, follow to the end.
Tarry not, and fear not, chosen of the true;
Lover of the Lone Trail, The Lone Trail waits for you"
