Re: Slovakia and back on a Forza 350
Nice report as usual Mr. Godspeed. Thank you for sharing and giving me ideas for new places to include in my own itinerary.
Here are my not quite 2 cents worth of thoughts about selecting places to stay overnight. Rest assured, they're still worth their weight in gold.
I've used hundreds of great websites and apps. Most consistently I've found places to stay using Google maps, along with Booking and AirBnB.
(For the security conscious. Many apps (specially those aimed at motorcycle traveller) have filter for secure parking and/or enclosed garage. But I rarely have issues. After asking for safe place to park motorcycle people in Germany and France have moved their own cars out of their garages to make safe space for my motorcycle. In Italy one even misunderstood me. He said after some thinking that I could park the bike inside the apartment but I had to be really careful.
)
For Google maps zoom in near to where you'd like to stay. Search for hotels, or BnB, or campsites. Many markers pop up. If you click those you often see nice places, including reviews and pictures of rooms to help you decide. Depending on location you can book directly, or get links to Booking and AirBnB. You usually also get a phone number, or the locations own website that you can use to book directly from.
As aside I don't trust Google to plot routes. Too often it makes changes to my carefully designed route and does its own thing. I've ended up near dinner time at over 300 km away from my booked hotel. Further than when I started in the morning. Of course it was cold and wet.
My fault for not noticing that it had dropped all waypoints and was directing me to the final end location.

Lovely write up Chris, glad you didn't come across any bears... though it would have made an awesome seat cover
Enfield Himalayan... apparently they're Marmite... not keen on Marmite, but like Vegemite
