Did you know that the original English Patron Saint was a real historic figure: the Saxon King Edmund (Bury St Edmunds is named after him)?
He was murdered by the Vikings for refusing to sign a treaty that would have seen his people enslaved.
St George was imposed on the English by the Norman colonisers. He is famed for slaying a dragon...the Saxons fought the Normans under the banner of the Green Dragon of Wessex. St George has no historic connection with England at all.

My wife have celebrated by going out for a full English breakfast......followed by scones and cream jam and tonight it'll be Eaton Mess for dessert

These two houses, one above the road and one below, were on the road to Tibilisi in Georgia. I thought they were wrecks until I saw the satellite dish and livestock about.
