Hi,
I'm wondering if you know of anyone who would rebuild the front forks on my Honda Africa Twin rd04, would ideally like them checked for straightness, rechromed, and the stantions powder coated white.
Internet is a wonderful place but so far I have not come up with anyone who is willing to do this as a whole job. Only firms who would do rechrome or powder coat.
on the subject anyone who makes the triple clamps upper and lower for the bike. The options on flea bay all seem to be in the same or worse state than my originals. and erm I don't really want go in for the new front end that you offer.
Thanks
Kevin

All that is a tall order. Hard to do at a competitive price in one place. Specially in Belgium, that has little machining industry.
As you found out chrome plating and powder coating are rarely done in the same place. They require specific equipment that can be expensive and require licencing.
Maybe find a suspension rebuild specialist that can do special requests. I know Ten Kate Motoren in NL has suspension rebuild service. I cannot wouch for the quality of the service. Or their chrome plating and powder coating options.
Personally I'd do the disassembly and reassembly myself. Send the parts out for chrome plating and powder coating. I've used powder coating service in Rotterdam that did a good job. Found them on Facebook.
Use the phone and call machinists in your area. Quick search shows "VS Meca, Rue de la Croix du Maieur 8, 7110 Strépy-Bracquegnies, Belgique" as a place to start near your Mons, Belgium location. If they cannot help, ask them to point you in the right direction.
The triple clamps can be made by machinist. I'd draw them in CAD program and have them made in a CNC machine. Again, specific equipment that can be expensive. Ask VS Meca for that too.
