Back in September we left the Menai area at about 4.30pm to go back to our rental cottage near Barmouth and decided to risk Llanberis.
Apart from a few cars in the first 10 miles or and some roadworks at a junction, from Llanberis all the way back to Porthmadog on the ‘back roads’ we only saw one car and no bikes.
Glorious sunshine as well.

Probably never happen again.
2022 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro sadly gone due to ill health.
Now on a 2025 Triumph Scrambler 400X but may be fitter next year.

I see that the roads must be awesome as your bike is taking them sideways
Enfield Himalayan... apparently they're Marmite... not keen on Marmite, but like Vegemite
YBR125... the little adventure steed of awesomeness

The VMCC Hereford & Mid Wales section have a challenge each year which involves visiting waypoints through mid Wales, last years waypoints are shown on the attached map, their website and some pictures on one of our runs on the other sheets.
They have the waypoints for this year and some of the previous years on the website. It is free & open to anyone, no prizes.
