Re: Daily travel budget in Europe this year ?
One thing I have done in the past is booked a load of accommodation based on what I think I will be doing. Use booking.com and book the free cancellation rooms and then if you go elsewhere you won’t lose anything, but if you do go that way then it’ll keep the cost down

Re: Daily travel budget in Europe this year ?
I just got back from a 6 night/7 day tour of the Vosges and the Black Forest, covering about 1500 miles, door to door. These are my actual costs for the entire trip
:
Eurotunnel return ticket - £125
2 Toll roads - £14
Fuel - £204
Food - £153
Cash for coffee and beer etc. - £85
6 nights accommodation with breakfast, in England/France/Germany - £597
Total £1178
That's £168 per day but £139 per day excluding fuel...we stayed in 3 or 4 star hotels.
It was worth it...
