Re: 20 MPH default speed limit in Wales
Some Tories want fines if 1mph over the speed limit, too.
Labour seems to have a war on cars, fines for old ones.
Fun times to come.
Proud that Wales is leading the way ..
I notice recently that car drivers are going Mad here. Speeding, aggressive, nasty, huge volumes, accidents every day, deaths and injuries, ....

I wonder if there's going to be multiple pile ups, caused by some impatient drivers, the victims being the law abiding drivers , and pedestrians ?

Oxford area has a lot now as does Cornwall.
Dropped my Mrs off in Oxford City today. 20mph is a right pain! So slow. At least my bmw has cruise control cos its almost impossible to stick to 20 otherwise.

Re: 20 MPH default speed limit in Wales
Been out and about today....updated my twat navs and went wandering
it seems that most main main roads are still signed 30...with off shoots signs covered up in black plastic... presumably to take off to reveal a 20 sign...on most of these types of road no speed limit is given on SNav hence my conclusion the main routes are staying at 30...saying that you can bet I'm wrong
I know that manor way, North Road and past the City Hall and onto Newport Rd have all new 30mph signs up...
Come the General Election you can bet that the Tories will use this as a election tool against Labour....
World's gone mad...Dickford is already

Re: 20 MPH default speed limit in Wales
hah ... `it won't affect me`, I said. "20 mph is right for outside schools and vulnerable places", I said. "I observe the law in 30 limits anyway", I said.
FFackk Me .. I went for a little bimble this afternoon, up the welsh valleys ..... There's 20 signs Everywhere.
Everywhere. !!!!
mostly very well signposted, but some on side roads can be confusing, bearing in mind the mentality of kids here.
I struggled ...................... I seemed to default to 27 mph, kept looking at the speedo, reducing my speed , looking in the mirror at the vans, then lorries, then trucks, trying to `push` me faster by breathing on my number plate. It was no joke.
much worse than I expected.
I was actually worried that i would be booked ...... ...... ... then remembered that that won't be until Sunday.
