Hi
Although I mountain bike in the High Peak, Whaley Bridge and surrounding areas.
I’m about to buy a off-road bike not having ridden one for about 45 years, now 62 and fancy adventures a bit further than my e-bike will take me. (Used to ride a Suzuki PE175)
Any advise where to start this new adventure?
I’m looking for easy beginners routes and I also open to riding our many B roads, my main focus is keeping on the back roads and off the many A road tourist routes.
Not sure if any clubs are in place where I could meet retired riders who can venture out during the week.
Cheers Phil

I don't know why but as soon as I read the title of this topic this morning I immediately thought of the Clint Eastwood film 'High Plains Drifter'...and bizarely it's his 92nd Birthday...today...how weird is that?

I think I would buy a nice vehicle that the ebike will fit in easy.
The lanes are disappearing year by year.
I thats an option you choose Get a GPS and a mate or 2 to go with you.
good luck
