We've all seen them or used them..

How do you get on with yours ? Does it actually do anything ? Was it worth the extra cash ??

Funny you should ask as I have just fitted a Wunderlich spoiler to my BMW F800GS, only done a few miles and spent most of the time stopping every few miles to adjust it and see what difference each position makes, to be honest the jury is still out.
It`s well made and multi adjustable but bloody expensive at £85.

I had a MRA vario on my last bike and they are great screens, easy to adjust by hand and worked for me but they are about £130 for the GS and I have heard that if you have hand guards fitted they can hit the screen.

Only problem with fitting a spoiler to a GS screen is a crease in the screen which makes it difficult to tighten the screws without it pulling off the top of the screen.
From all Iv`e read on forums about screens what suits one person won`t suit another and screens are bloody expensive if they don`t work for you.

What do I think about the screens? Expsensive for a little bit of plastic and a clamp. If I want to travel with out any buffeting in the comfort of an arm chair I get in my car.
I went to the Caribbean on holiday with my wife last year.

Jamaica?

No, she wanted to.

Well, there is that side to it.

But if you're riding long distances over a long period of time. Having a quieter ride and les buffeting can be the difference between arriving somewhere with a smile on your face or arriving with buzzing ears, a stiff neck and a bad mood. :S

But yes you're right. VERY expensive for some perspex and a clamp.

MRA screen on my Tiger 955i which as far as I'm concerned works really well and complements the bike. If some one wants to sit in the wind and strain their neck muscles that's up to them, but I'll go with a little comfort any time. Expensive ? not sure but it's a quality screen. cheers Spud ;)

I've had flip or aero screens on all of my bikes.
Expensive yes but they always work with great effect.

I made my own for the vara, must've cost me all of about 8 quid!!

Works an absolute treat too, 90mph with my visor up is testament to that.

I fitted an MRA Vario screen to my 2008 Transalp as the original screen left me being hit mid chest by the wind blast. The larger Honda screen looked ungainlyso went for something smaller and adjustable. Can now control the air flow to hit the top of my helmet (for venting) instead. Also helps when the weather turns cold and wet. Would definately recommend getting one if you spend any time doing long distance or riding in less than perfect weather.

I have an MRA Vario on my Tiger(bought second hand) and after a bit of trial and error in setting it up have found it to work really well, especially at motorway speeds. But as its been said its all a matter of what works for you.

I have a MRA Vario screen on my TA as well .

Much better than standard screen for wind blast on the chest .

But these mods are subjective depending on rider, rider height, seat , etc.
As some people say the MRA makes no difference.
