I've got one of those and after a few years i can give some advice to those thinking about this as a ebike.
Wheel bearings. They are loose ball bearings in the shimano hub and if you don't regularly servicing them you'll be replacing the wheelset. Like me..
Front cog. The mini sprocket wears so quick once worn it chain sucks really badly and you risk snapping the chain if not careful
I've just replaced all the linkage bearings again set yourself to do them at least every year, they have alot of double bearings and if they've failed knocking them out causes the races to break open resulting in need to cut them out
I'm not sure if the newer one has improved the cable routing but you'll be swearing at it when you need to replace the dropper cable as it routes round the motor through a tiny hole.. you need to take the motor out to replace
Other than that it's a great bike, if not a little on the heavy side
Anyone wanting to buy mine

Re: Electric MTB
E MTB has to be my next purchase once I get back to work.
I’ve found so many local bridleways to me it’s been a awesome being in the country side with no KTM engine noise.. And most people happy to say hello

Re: Electric MTB
Shock orientation has to be taking as just one part of the whole design, not only is its orientation influenced by linkage design but also things like having somewhere to lift the bike up..............obviously you can't say one is best.
Its a trick............get an Axe
Re: Electric MTB
No 2018. But it doesnt look like its changed much. I did read that the cable routing has been improved.

Re: Electric MTB
Yeah, I have 2018 Cube Stereo too (140 model), now at 18 months/1500 miles. So far so good, but interesting to hear of your bike's issues. I'll plan to grease the linkage etc. next winter as it's warranted until then. One thing that's been a godsend is putting No Flats gloop into a set of high quality tubes.... no flats so far and no sign of the gloop on the outer surfaces.
This the closest I guess we'll get to France this year - Kingsdown beach between Deal and Dover, pretty much the closest point to France.

Re: Electric MTB
I've seen many of his motorcycle creations, but this MTB is great. Love to see what Emtb he could create. Guys an engineering genius.
