ABR RTW Challenge

Bugger!
We did that last year.
This may not qualify but I’m a regular ABR reader and here’s our ABR RTW story.
My wife Yenni and I set off to ride the Americas, bottom to top.

This is Chile and we rode up to Canada.
27,000 miles in seven months, all with date stamped photos.

We finally flew out of Toronto.

I'll give it a go, I looked at my last 2 years mileage on my MOT, 12,600 and 13,500 miles, going to do a 3 week tour of Scotland, then a 3 week tour of 'darn sarf,' that should get me 6k miles in, then a 6 week Norway, Nordkapp, Finland, and the Baltics trip should get me another 5/6 k miles.
lets hope the 2011 Tiger 800 xc stays reliable.

I think you could be getting close with those plans, some great riding in there. Make you stop off in Vilnius, Lithuania, one of my favourite cities in Europe.

I've done over 22,000 miles the last two years running. Should be able to to it again this year!

A little update from the ABR offices.

Been a slow start for one of us, with Bryn bike-less and trailing on 0 miles! That will be changing soon as his long-termer, a Honda Africa Twin, arrives this week.

Sales guy Will and I are making steady progress around the 700-800 mile mark, the problem we've found is weekend riding is just unpleasant this time of year. However, we're both gloriously car-free and all those journeys/commutes/runs to the shop are clearly adding up.

James is in the lead with 1,222 miles. A few commutes down to Cornwall have catapulted him to the top of the leaderboard, and the Suzuki V-Strom 1050 launch this week is likely to keep him there.

How are you guys getting on?

Currently 0 km as my bike is still in winter storage. Not much riding weather here at the moment.

Finally reached the 1st 1000 miles of the competition, looks like I'll get very few more on for the foreseeable future. The Highlands are still pretty free of cases and hope it stays that way. Just using the bike for work and shopping trips now.

Well,,, this isn't going well, only 2,000 miles up to now, hopefully I can get my Ars.... bike in gear and get some miles in, now that the Covid rules are relaxed and we can overnight, I've binned my northern Europe trip, so the rest will have to be on home turf.
