Heroines
The British Women ISDE team...finished third against some tough opposition. Jane Daniels (tall one) was the only woman rider to clear one part of the course, it defeated most of the men and was dropped from the results for being 'too hard'.
Having done all that, they were pretty much left on their own to take their place on the podium...very little visible support for them from the British contingent, apart from me and my brother.

Re: Heroines
Great result for the GB ladies team after a disappointing week for the Trophy and Junior teams with injury and mechanical issues.
We made it to the early morning starts to cheer the ladies on but missed the podium.
The result is the better for it being the first time GB have had a woman's team in the ISDE.

All 3 of those girls are very, very fast and capable riders. Go watch a BEC round (Brit Enduro Championship) and be impressed. A well deserved podium.

Nieve Holmes was struggling on Day 4...only just found out why...she dislocated her shoulder...twice!
She still finished.

Re: Heroines
That's because we had to be out of the paddock by 7pm that night, great result for GB womans. We were up most mornings cheering them out of Parc Ferme though.Richard Simpson Mark II wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2019 8:42 pm Having done all that, they were pretty much left on their own to take their place on the podium...very little visible support for them from the British contingent, apart from me and my brother.
Funny thing was we were stood near you on the last test, I was otherwise involved and then you disappeared before we said hello.
