After an engine malfunction I’m now parting out my ’87 Transalp. My original rear rim rotted away (as they all do), so a few years ago a professional wheel builder (Paul Jackson, near Huddersfield) laced the oem Honda hub with new spokes onto a, I believe, Cagiva Elefant rim. It’s made by Akront in Spain and is a 3.00 wide rim, rather than the stock Honda 2.50, meaning it’ll last a long time (won’t rot) and you can easily fit a fatter rear tyre too. I personally find fitting a 120 rear too skinny.
The hole in the rim in one of the images is where there was previously a rim lock.
Comes with good wheel bearings and a 130/80/17 Continental TKC80 with a lot of life left in it
Good condition. It’s clearly not new, but there’s no rust, nor rot.
£150 o.n.o PLUS postage. On places like ebay all the competition is a great deal more expensive than what I’m asking.
Ideally you would come to collect from NG10/Long Eaton, very close to jtn 25 on the M1. If you’re outside the UK (most likely in late June/early July) I will be driving a van from the UK to Bulgaria (via north France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Romania) and can transport the wheel free of charge to a mutually convenient meeting point.
Lots of other parts for sale too: Send me a message with other items you might need.
