I think it must have been this thread that planted the seed as it were. I read this, did some research; asked Alun some questions; I cogitated, hesitated, teased myself, shall I? should I? could I?
I found an Enduro Pro at a dealer on eBay, watched it for weeks, became a bit obsessed with it. Then one morning a few weeks ago I said to the missus, “come on we’re going out for the day”, drove to Stoke, walked into the Ducati dealer and said to the gentleman in there “ I’ve come to buy that”, pointing at the Enduro Pro in the showroom, “ah”, he said, “I’ve just sold it, not half an hour ago, on the internet” “BUGGER!” I exclaimed
Have you tried the new 1260 Enduro? The salesman said.

So here it is, my new steed, 54 miles on the clock and doing its first lane. It came with the wrong tyres on it, but they’ll do for now.

Wow 1st up what a lovely looking bike I really like the look of these and 2nd of all are you off your nut man lol taking a 20k brand new bike off road after 54 miles I've done about a 1000 on my new to me 990 adv and I'm still scared hats off to you your a braver man than I am

It is bloody gorgeous intit.
To be fair, it was the gentlest of gentle lanes on my way home from picking it up. It’s only the second new new bike I’ve ever bought, but I did the same with my f800GS six years ago, it’s what they’re built for and no one is going to accuse me of the only off road it does being bumping up the pavement at the local Starbucks.
Get your 990 down some lanes, relax, let the bike do what it wants, if you’re anything like me the bike will be more capable than you are and so what if you drop it, it’ll look more used with a couple of battle scars.

If I had one I’d do it too, if not just to be scowled at by all the other Ducati owners at the local bike park!!
