I've got a Rally Raid screen (I think that what it is) if you're interested.

Can you help me out here, I am on my second 950 and have always put up with the std screen. Is the shorter screen better, and how do you see where you are going? I have raced the first 950 so please don't just say stand up. I would have thought that this must restrict your view?

The Rade garage screens are about 26cm from top of headlight to top of the screen, and are more upright so are more forward by about7-10cm (cant remember exactly what the old touring screen dimensions were.

Iam only 1.75m tall and I can see fine over the screen even when sat down, I was concerned like you about vision being impaired. I put a piece of gaffer tape across the screen at the 26cm mark and round around like that for a few days to see how much it would of interfered.
Having now fitted the Rade screen I have a very small increase in buffeting by that is only marginal and not a worry. the more upright position of the screen pushes the air up and over the head so effectively your head is in clean air. The one thing I did do was to slightly adjust my wing mirrors to create more clean airflow.

visibility as said has not been impaired at all, it can be a bit daunting at first but in all honesty you get used to the screen and I would never go back to the old OEM KTM screen.

The other good thing about the screen is there is actually more room in the cockpitas I have two RAM ball mounts on which I can mount my Garmin Nuvi and Garmin Etrex I will try and put a photo up tomorrow if you're interested.

That's exactly why I don't like solid screens, I like to see where I'm going.

Yes please do. I have been preparing my 950 for a monster trip this summer and after fitting a rear tank, and a compressor, this is the next job. It's a shall I chop the old one or give Mr Rade some more money, it's his rear tank I have fitted and very good to.

Oh dear, I ride my beast off road a lot and I am going to tape the screen up and see how effects the tracking of the front wheel. But thanks for the pics. I recon I will cut my screen as its proper scratched. I like the Rade gear though, the man's a Guinness.
