Gents how much are we all taking off the side stand, are you taking it to a local metal worker or garage to do the weld ? Or diy

Update on the tickover on warm engine, did some checking on the bike at the weekend and found the jubilee clip from air box to throttle body was loose, so loose in fact it would move round with little effort. This may have allowed air in when not wanted, so tightened and have yet to test but fingers crossed. Point to note also is that the way the jubilee clip was positioned had the potential to get snagged on the throttle cam where the cables are from the tang of the jubilee clip so worth checking and rotating the jubilee clip 180 degrees so the tang is as far away from the throttle cam as possible.....hope this makes sense as i forgot to take a picture....

so went for a 90 mile spin today around sussex,....Eastbourne, Pevensey, Stone Cross, Hailsham, Cross in Hand. Tunbridge Wells, Uckfield, Lewes then home all good with the WK. Ended up stopping in Uckfield J&S for a break and to get a coffee at Mac D's just round the corner...........must say the WK got lots of attention at J&S as they are not that common............on the way back from Lewes had a look up at Telscombe village at the top of the Tye for a bit of dirt :woohoo: , bit slippy for me and with the standard tyres :blush: , its been a while but the bike feels very capable......not sure about the rider (thumbs)

mac10biker, wondered if you have had chance to test how the EBC brakes compared with the OEM ones, while out today did some practice braking at 40 55 and 65 :evil: down some quiet lanes and when the brakes are pushed they do stop fine just missing that initial bite when you first apply the brakes..........

Out on mine today.
Had trouble last weekened with a heavy clutch causing tendonitis in my elbow.
Oiled the clutch and kinesis taped the elbow, and shifted my grip more towards the outter made for a more comfortable ride.
Noticing the front brake feels hard so tempted to try the EBC pads
Probably did 50 ish miles

To be honest I have not noticed any difference so far but I have only been using the bike for commuting since fitting the pads, so not really having to brake that hard. I have actually found for the first time on a bike I am using the rear brake maybe more than the front as it's such a light bike and the rear brake is actually pretty good.

Will try and give the front pads a proper workout next week and let you know (thumbs)

I took the 400 trail out today for really the first proper run I ran on a mix of roads upto rothbury to run the engine in and the tkc's and mousses.

The engine when I first started was a bit hit and miss but that soon stopped and ran great the rest of the day, I never took it past 6000rpm till I do the first oil change, that will be done next week, the tyres were great that got better as the day went on, I got faster into the corners, the temperature in the tyres didn't get that hot so the mousses felt very stable,
The tkc's makes the bike very predictable, the brakes well I find them fine with the standard pads, as expected they needed bedding in at first after that they were more than adequate, so on the twisties I was diving into the corners to see if I could get the bike out of shap but the tyres stuck like glue, on the motorways the screen duz it's job, if I was touring I would use a screen extender but for a week away its fine,
The seat is very good for the type of bike, sat on it all day with out any sores,

I went through the Tyne Tunel and my £7 spots they were the biz and been able to switch them off is great, sat nav was just a little low for me as I couldn't see the indicator light, I left it on once, easy fix as I normally fit a buzzer to the flasher relay or lift the nav a inch
