went for a ride down to Rye on Saturday with my brother, 100 mile round trip via A & B roads weather was great for February...........came back and did my first oil change which was all very straight forward, i will do mine by the bike manual not by WK schedule. Replaced the oil filter with a HiFlo HF112 and 2 litres of 10w 40. Re used the orange o ring for the oil filter cover and had a small weep but seems to have gone after a good ride, they should last a few changes but will see. Did get a spare with the bike but don't want to use this yet. The standard oil filter looks like it can be cleaned and re used, not seen that for a while, still easier to go with a disposable i guess. Went for another ride Sunday 60 miles around Sussex all good, runs and rides great.

Hi Andi,

'I wonder if the Shiray X5 [XY400GY] pads are the same size?'
Yep they look the same, if you want the same ok braking performance as the originals.
I'm hoping the ebc's will be more.

Hi netsonic,

' .. take a picture or two of the fuel pump and let us know if its simple to remove'

Sure, no problem, I removed and emptied the petrol tank and then the fuel pump assembly was easy to remove as only held in by four screws (wk pump still works fine but gonna keep it as a spare and fit another to know I can.)

I was then able to unclip and separate the plastic housing around the pump itself

Here is a close up of the filter

Based on the dimensions it appears to be a common size 30mm OD pump as used by Yam wr250r, ktm 690 etc. I've ordered a Japanese spec replacement pump and should be with me end of the week, if it fits/works I'll update post with details.

Hi Glenn, brilliant thanks for the pictures, helps alot. I had a lot of bits in my tank when i first got the bike and did a few tank drains to clear it out but wondered if the filter would have taken a hit so was planning to pull the pump and clean it. Hope it seals ok when re installed. I have an interesting thing with my 400 trail after starting on a warm engine it runs for a bit then stops, may do this once or twice until temp up and ticks over perfectly, didnt know if this had anything to do with fuel trying to get through the pump ?....or just a WK thing

Are the filters seperate parts on those pumps as it may be handy to have a spare?

Just had a look on Aliexpress the pumps are 6 dollars just for the pump or if you want the connection lead and filter it's just under 12

Hi Graham, just had a look on there, very interesting, never used the site before, anyone tried it as it could be good for parts later on, quicker and cheaper as long as they turn up i guess

I've ordered loads of stuff folding mirror, complete brake kit, sprag clutch for a ttr250, Bmw fuel pump, some electric items, all turned up and when you open up a account that's free u get free insurance so if you don't receive it they will refund or send another, you leave feed back like eBay,

I've not used mine since doing the tank cap gasket removal mod so unsure if mine still stutter until warmed up.
Maybe mac10biker can comment?

My newly ordered pump comes with three different style filters loose, and you attach the suitable one for your bike. Unsure if you can buy filters on their own ...

My searching didn't find them on there, can you post a part no, key search word/s or link for each as curious to see them.

Ive had no issues with Aliexpress and its usually direct from the manufacturer whereas many auction sites etc seem to purchase from aliexpress and sell on at a mark up.Take for example GPS handle bar mounts they are a lot cheaper from there than anywhere else Ive seen.
